The Head in the Clouds
Book of Deer is the brand baby of Eilidh Ho. Born in Edinburgh to a Scottish mother and Chinese father, Eilidh was raised in Hong Kong before moving to London to study at Central Saint Martins. After several years working in the industry for designers in London and New York, she returned to Hong Kong to establish her own design company. In 2010, she founded her first label Book of Deer named after the oldest manuscript written in Scotland.
The Book of Deer style ethos is rooted in the character and atmosphere of clothing. Evoking narratives in detailing and conjuring our daydreams in prints, the designer takes a step away from sharp edges and trends to create fun, feminine pieces with a distinctive element of cute. Detailed prints are the brand's signature, hand drawn, digitally printed and exclusive.
Book of Deer designs for the quietly iconoclastic girl with an active imagination, spinning a tale into every garment and encouraging the wearer to keep her head in the clouds.
