Fashionary was founded in 2009 by fashion and graphic designer Penter Yip. His goal was to create a tailor-made tool for fashion designers. Penter combined intensive fashion experience together with his own templates (later known as the Fashionary templates) to create the very first version of Fashionary.

Instant Success
Soon after Fashionary was published, it captured the attention of designers and fashionistas and was featured in VOGUE, ELLE and major online fashion sites such as WGSN and DAZED digital. Within a month, the book was sold in over twenty cities around the world.

Upgraded Version Two
In 2010, the second version of Fashionary was launched. Along side with the launch of a menswear edition, this second version was enriched with new features. The release generated high acclaim and was recommended by many established fashion designers, teachers, universities and fashion companies.

Started as a personal project, Fashionary has become as true brand sold at select shops around the world - Colette in Paris, Beams in Tokyo, Debut in New York City, Symphony in Dubai, I.T. in Hong Kong, Restored in Amsterdam just to name a few.
