The MISCHA label was conceived as an expression of designer Michelle Lai’s aesthetic aspirations and passion for vintage Japanese textiles and fine embroidery. MISCHA reinvents vintage luxury by transforming precious textiles into modern accessories.

The Vintage Couture Collection made from vintage Japanese kimono and obi fabric was the starting point for the first collection of handmade clutch bags and accessories launched in 2004. Each creation is delicately sewn in an intense labour of love, with each one-of-a-kind clutch having its own certificate of authenticity.

In 2010, the brand introduced its own signature print and thus the MISCHA Travel Series was created, with the globetrotter’s lifestyle in mind. Taking inspiration from traditional Japanese hexagon motifs and bold geometric 1960’s interior designs, the original interlocking hexagon print symbolizes longevity, a sentiment held very close to the brand. The line of silk screened, coated canvas and leather-trimmed accessories focuses on quality travel totes and luggage.

MISCHA is sold in niche boutiques, departements stores and multi-brand shops in Hong Kong, China, Australia, Singapore, Italy, and the United States.
